Garmin Fixes GPS Bug Affecting Trail Accuracy

Cycling safety and equipment

Garmin pushed firmware version 18.12 to Edge cycling computers yesterday. The update fixes a GPS tracking bug that affected route accuracy on wooded trails.

Users reported routes showing straight lines through forests instead of actual paths. Garmin acknowledged the issue within 48 hours of initial reports.

The update installs automatically when devices connect to WiFi.
